I grew up going to church here and there, but God, Jesus, Bible - those were just “religious” terms that didn’t mean much to me. My life was about pursuing success and if Jesus somehow helped along the way, then great, but otherwise I could not care less.
That all changed when I entered as a freshman at UC Berkeley. I arrived to grab a CS degree and then go make a bunch of money. Instead, I encountered Christ. I saw my selfish pursuits for what they were: shallow, meaningless, and unsatisfying. I turned my life over to God and since then have a new mission for my life: winning souls for Christ!
I’ve had the privilege to serve in our Berkeley, Santa Barbara, and North Carolina ministries. Along the way, I met my now wife and we had two boys: Elliott and Ayden. Life with God has been an adventure, and I look forward to whatever has in store next!

I grew up in sunny Southern California in a culturally Buddhist family. I considered myself atheist and wasn’t interested in God and spiritual things. I was very ambitious, a nerd at heart, and by the time I was 10 years old I thought I pretty much understood what life was about - being a good person, making money, and being as successful as I can possibly be.
That began to change when someone invited my mom to a home Bible study where I heard God’s Word for the first time. Years later, it was that memory of the cozy home, and John 3:16 that I memorized that day that made me interested in finding out if this God is real. I was shocked to discover that there was reasonable evidence for the existence of God, and that opened my mind and heart to the rest of the gospel. I made a decision to follow Jesus in my youth - and ever since, I rejoice in knowing that the hope of the cross not only means forgiveness for me, but healing for my past, and a God-given purpose for my life.
As I attended UC Berkeley for college, my older sister introduced me to a group of people who lived out this purpose as the first priority of their lives. They inspired me to do the same, and since then I’ve had the privilege of serving coast to coast in our Berkeley and North Carolina ministries - telling people about the good news of Jesus - now alongside my husband Bryan and our two energetic boys Elliott and Ayden - Looking forward to all that is yet in store!
